The deposit is 35% of the contracted grand total and due to hold the date at the time of contract signing. The deposit is nonrefundable. 45% of the contracted amount is due 180 days prior to the event. The remaining contracted balance is due 30 days out. Any additional balance (from additional guests or upgrades) is due 14 days out which is also the last day to add guests.

Our venue can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated dinner.
In the case of inclement weather, we have a plan B almost as good as The Point. If it rains or is too cold, ceremonies will be held indoors in our glass pavilion overlooking the bay. Our staff will quickly clear out the chairs following the ceremony.
Evening wedding venue fees include 4.5 hours of reception time plus a half hour of ceremony time if you are having your ceremony here. Social event venue rentals are 3 hour blocks. Due to our sound ordinance, Silver Swan events end at 10 PM. It is an additional $1000 per hour to rent the venue longer; this does not include additional bar time. Additional bar time can be added for a fee. This decision must be predetermined with our coordinator a month in advance.
The venue fee varies depending on the day of the week and the time of the year. Our wedding venue fees include 4.5 hours of time. Additional time may be added for $1000 per hour.
Ceremonies may be held here, for a fee of $800 when you have your reception with us. This fee covers an additional 30 minutes of time, ceremony chairs, use of one of our ceremony arches, and a 30-minute rehearsal the week prior. The site is within 50’ of the reception building.

Silver Swan will assign a wedding coordinator upon contract signing. This will be your point of contact throughout the entire planning process.
Yes, we have a private room which is available to you 2 hours before the ceremony is scheduled to start. The suite is your private area throughout the evening and features a full bath, vanity, full-length mirror, couches, and a coffee table. When you arrive, it will be stocked with champagne and a fruit and cheese tray for snacking.
We do allow you to move things around; however, we do ask that you let us move any hanging items, such as mirrors and wall art. We also ask that you do not use command strips, tape, tacks or nails. We do allow you to use real candles but you must provide the appropriate vases for them or borrow Silver Swan’s as the candles must be enclosed.
Vendors may start setting up the day of the wedding/event two hours prior to the start of the event. More time may be available with management approval. Décor should be delivered to your sales manager the week of the wedding/event. (All deliveries must be approved by management and schedule around existing events) Most couples choose to bring their decor items when they come for the rehearsal. We will handle the majority of set up and breakdown of your decor. You may return the day after your event to pick up all decor items which will be packed back up for you.
We have a beautiful lawn and pavilion that is available for your guests to enjoy our spectacular views. The tented pavilion space is climate-controlled with 9 HVAC units. Additional heating + cooling elements may be available as well.
We are a full-service venue catered exclusively by Chesapeake Chef Service. We do not allow outside caterers.
We provide all the above and it is included with your food package.
Silver Swan does have dessert options available, however, you are more than welcome to bring in your choice of dessert! Cake/ Desserts are not included in the wedding packages. We do not have a cake cutting fee, and we can also provide a cake cutting set for borrow or you may bring your own.
We do not allow outside alcohol. We are more than happy to order the products for you (fees may apply).
We are licensed and have a variety of service and billing options. We offer open bar packages, consumption-based options and a cash bar option. (Additional bartender fees may apply for consumption and cash based bar packages)
We welcome DJs as well as live music. We will monitor sound levels and reserve the right to enforce volume controls. All music must be turned completely off by 10 pm.
There is plenty of FREE parking in our marina. Public transportation such as Uber, Lyft, or taxi cabs are scarce on Kent Island. While you may be able to catch an Uber to our venue, rides home can be very difficult to find. We have connections to several local transportation companies which can provide affordable transportation for your guests. Cars may be left overnight at the venue.
We have 1 men’s restroom with 3 stalls and 1 women’s restroom with 3 stalls. The bridal suite has a full bathroom as well.
Day of coordination is included in your wedding package. Upon contract signing, you will be assigned to a coordinator who will be your point of contact throughout the planning process. We will assist you in the planning of your event as well as be on site for the setup, ceremony, and reception on the day of your event. We will help with the setup and breakdown of your decor. *Certain exclusions may apply
Silver Swan will provide the use of the venue, in house catering and bar service. The client is responsible for hiring all vendors, including but not limited to an Officiant, DJ, Florist, Baker, etc.. We do have a preferred vendor list for you to take a look at after booking with us, but you are not obligated to select from that list!
Your 22% service charge is used to pay the salaries of our staff including servers and bartenders. This is not the same as a gratuity which is split up among service staff. Our staff is paid well hourly but if you would like to tip the staff, your coordinator will be happy to help facilitate distribution. Any amount is always appreciated but is never expected.
We do not offer lodging; however, once you are booked at Silver Swan, you get access to our Couples Portal, which offers lots of planning information, as well as our preferred vendor list, which includes lodging recommendations.
